How to play tower defense
Enemies follow the path toward your garden. Build towers beside that route to stop them before they reach the end. Each tower covers a limited area, so placement matters as much as the amount you spend. Use the planning break to choose a pad, compare the available towers and send the next wave when you are ready.
Make the bend do the work
A tower beside a corner can often keep an enemy in range longer than one beside a short straight. Look for places that cover two stretches of path. Put your dependable damage there first. A tempting spot near the entrance is less useful if it sees every enemy for only a moment.
Combine jobs instead of buying copies
Rapid fire helps finish individual enemies. Splash damage makes crowded groups expensive for the invaders. Slowing a group gives the rest of your defense more time to attack. Try overlapping those roles, then upgrade the tower that is doing useful work. More towers are not automatically a stronger defense.
Learn from a leak
When an enemy reaches the exit, notice where it escaped your coverage. Was it fast, tough, or part of a crowd? Use that answer to choose your next purchase. You can adjust between waves and replay freely. There is no energy meter or payment for another attempt.
A compact strategy break
Games such as Bloons TD 6 make the mix of placement and upgrades familiar. Bloom Bastion is an original, smaller garden-defense game made for a quick browser session, with its own towers, enemies and map. If the part you love is testing a plan and improving it, start with the path.

Can I pause between decisions?
Yes. Plan before starting a wave, and use Pause during play. Leaving the tab pauses the game.
